Happy Ganesh Chaturthi to all the bloggers and blog readers. Wonder what Lord Ganesha would ever think of people living in this modern era. One thing's sure, if number of pandals that are put up in this part of India are anything to go by, he would certainly be overwhelmed, infact a bit confused. He wouldnt know who's the true devotee and who's pretending !.
I sometimes wonder if it is really all that necessary to put up such huge idols of Ganesh, play bhajans so loudly in a calm neighbourhood to celebrate the occasion. Are we not adding to the sound pollution to worsen the situation that's already so bad. Should we not be considerate to our neighbours, to let them live in a more peaceful environment. May be I should stop complaining and start tolerating this whole thing as its only a matter of few days. So, carry on folks !. Happy festivities.
